My intention with these groupings is to explore how figurative painting and abstract sculpture can talk about the same subjects and relate to each other as a set. Sometimes I have based a sculpture on a painting and sometimes the idea comes first and both pieces are born from the initial concept. Bridging the gap between two very different mediums and approaches, as well as exploring all the possibilities, unifies my experience as an artist.
